Shona’s Story
Shona hails from Tralee, Co. Kerry and started dancing at the age of 3 with the Fitzgerald Casey School of Irish Dancing. Shona has experienced many highlights in her competitive Irish Dancing career including winning the Munster Championships in 2008 and becoming a world medal holder at the 2013 World Irish Dancing Championships in Boston.
On completing her competitive dancing career, Shona decided to take up running to keep fit and within 3 months of training made the Irish team for the European Cross-Country Championships in Bulgaria. Over the past 3 years she has won numerous Munster, National and International titles and holds 30 caps for Ireland. Shona’s ambition is to become an Olympian, however, she remains passionate about her first love, Irish Dancing and very much enjoys her role as a female dancer in Celtic Steps The Show.
