From grass roots to global recognition, the Show continues to enchant guests worldwide, taking them on a magical journey from Ireland’s nostalgic past to its vibrant present, expressed through the universal language of music, song and dance, all masterfully showcased in one sensational performance.
Celtic Steps was launched by David Rea and Sean Murphy, performers, producers and friends, born through a shared ambition to bring the raw and natural talent of Irish Music, Song and Dance to the stage in one spellbinding production.
Having met at a young age touring together in Comhaltas, (at the time, Ireland’s largest tour company) they went on to become involved in other projects and businesses, however, music and dance always sought a way to bring them back to the fold and in the Summer of 2012, the pair began their Celtic Steps journey together and remain Co-Directors and performers in the show.
Celtic Steps The Show is dedicated to showcasing local, homegrown talent. Our Show’s music embodies a unique fusion of traditional styles with a strong Celtic influence, reflecting our deep-rooted connections to our Irish and Kerry culture.
Since our inception in 2012, we have remained committed to fostering passion and talent within our community, making it a point to highlight the talent of local artists. This approach not only creates a special bond within our community but also ensures that the authentic essence of our music and dance remains true to its roots.
We also take great pride in the continuity of our original Celtic Steps Band members, who to this day, remain at the heart of our ensemble.
