Celtic Steps was delighted to take part in the launch of UL Global’s annual orientation week at the University of Limerick — a celebration of the university’s international student community and a chance to share the energy, creativity, and tradition of Irish music and culture.
UL Global brings together students from across the world who have chosen Ireland as their study destination. For many of these students, it is their first immersive experience of Irish music, dance and storytelling. We were proud to showcase the energy and spirit of traditional Irish culture through live performance, offering a warm ‘céad míle fáilte’ to UL’s global student community.
Sharing Irish Music and Culture
Our musicians and performers brought the sounds and rhythms of Ireland to life, creating an atmosphere of true Irish celebration. From lively reels and jigs to engaging stories of our musical traditions, the performance highlighted the richness of Irish heritage and its unique ability to transcend borders as a universal language, capable of connecting communities worldwide.
As a company dedicated to promoting Irish music and dance worldwide, we greatly value opportunities to connect with diverse audiences and share the traditions that define us.
Strong Partnerships and Global Collaboration
Indeed, we value our ongoing partnership with UL through its Cooperative Education programme, which gives students professional experience while earning academic credit. We are excited to participate again in the 2026 placement programme, supporting emerging talent within the creative and cultural industries.
Our ongoing collaboration with the Global Music Academy allows us to welcome international interns of music and dance, fostering cross-cultural exchange and offering hands-on experience across performance, production and cultural promotion.
These partnerships reinforce our mission to share Irish music and culture with the world while connecting communities through the universal language of music.
