Celtic Steps The Show Comes To Tralee

Last Sunday evening, the 5th of May saw us expand our little Irish Music, Song and Dance Show to yet another wonderful location in Co. Kerry with the adddition of the Brandon Conference Centre, Tralee where we performed to a full house for the opening night of our Tralee Shows.

We had a phenomenal evening and were delighted to welcome a 600 strong audience, combining an eclectic mix of the local businesses and people of Tralee as well as travelling tourists, who were all treated to a glittering drinks reception pre- Show.

As with Celtic Steps Killarney, the Tralee Show showcases local Kerry and Irish talent at its best and has created 21 new jobs, bringing our total team to just over 60 people. The line-up features online singing sensations, the O’Neill Sisters from Causeway, Shona Heaslip, local sportswoman and hopeful Irish Olympian as well as Tralee woman, Éadaoin McGinley, both who have been dancing with the Show since its inception. Also joining our troop of World Champion Irish Dancers are; Nerissa O’Shea, Rachel Galligan, Kathryn Monaghan, Layla Ní Eílí, Erin Learmont and Ger Byrne.

Our brand new Celtic Steps Tralee Band hail from all four corners of the country and we are delighted to welcome Conor Broderick from Co. Galway on Piano, Steven O’Leary from Kilcummin on Accordion, Kate Heneghan from Castlebar in Co. Mayo on Fiddle and Harp, David Stone from Co. Waterford and Cillian Ó’Dálaigh from Co. Limerick on Flutes, Whistles and Pipes.  And last but not least, our very own David Rea, heading up the cast on narration and percussion and of couse doing his very best to keep everyone in line!

Due to popular demand, Celtic Steps The Show will now run in the Brandon Conference Centre, Tralee, 5 nights a week from Sunday through to Thursday as well as in the Killarney Racecourse for 6 nights a week, from Sunday through to Friday, until October 2019.

And there you have it folks, Celtic Steps Tralee! We do hope that you can come along and experience this fantastic showcase of authentic Irish culture, now in two of the Kerry’s finest settings!!
